CheckIt AI uses a combination of visual AI, ingredient analysis, and personalization to help you make healthier food choices in seconds.

Step 1: Scan any product

Point your phone camera at any food product. CheckIt's visual AI recognizes the product instantly — no barcode needed. You can also scan barcodes the traditional way, or search by product name.

Step 2: Instant ingredient analysis

CheckIt pulls the product's full ingredient list and analyzes each ingredient against a database of 100+ flagged compounds. It checks for seed oils, artificial dyes, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, controversial additives, and allergens.

Step 3: Personalized health score

Every product gets a score from 0-100 based on ingredient quality. But unlike other apps, CheckIt personalizes this score based on YOUR dietary profile. If you're gluten-free, any product containing gluten gets flagged. If you avoid seed oils, those get highlighted. You can set up separate profiles for different family members.

Step 4: Alternatives and recommendations

When CheckIt flags a product, it doesn't just tell you what's wrong — it suggests healthier alternatives in the same category. Looking at a cereal with artificial dyes? CheckIt shows you similar cereals without them.

The technology behind it

CheckIt uses real-time visual AI to identify products without barcodes. The ingredient analysis is powered by a continuously updated database maintained by food scientists. The scoring algorithm weighs different factors — a known carcinogen gets flagged more severely than a mild preservative.
